Marriage

In doing this assignment I chose to look at the works of Mary Cassatt. The book I used for this is simple called Mary Cassatt, paintings and prints. Mary Cassatt lived from 1844 to 1926 in Pittsburgh and then in Paris. Miss Cassatt's paintings are labeled as impressionist paintings a term that she did not like being called. Mary Cassatt was a rebel of her times and preferred to be called an independent not an impressionist.
The paintings she did appeared to be very true to life and showed how she felt in certain times of her life.
