Unbeknownst to the entire world a star was born on June 1, 1926, by the name of Norma Jeane Mortenson. Norma Jean’s mother, Gladys, didn’t list the father’s name on Norma Jean’s birth certificate and she would literally pass away without every knowing. Unfortunately, Norma Jean’s sad childhood would be repeated and capitalized upon throughout her entire life.
Norma Jean spent very little of her childhood with her mother. She was shuffled from foster home to foster home. It was later learned that Gladys never married and suffered with severe mental problems.
