Many faces of Justice

When talking of the Nature of Justice we find that ‘Justice’ takes many faces and forms including the concepts of Access, Equity, Fairness, Equality and Human Rights. These are all mechanisms which work towards achieving Justice in the Australian Legal System.

As we already know, there are many distinctive factors which establish a person’s ability to access the legal system. Some being as such:

· The possibility of person being unable to meet the expense of Legal Representation. As we know, the more socio-economically gifted people are more likely to employ someone who can represent them more efficiently, due to the fact that they have the money to do so. For the people who struggle to or can’t afford representation are offered Legal Aid which is now provided by the Government as a step towards providing Justice in the Legal System.
