From: Doesn’t use goals and objectives to manage self or others
Not orderly in assigning and measuring work
Doesn’t provide work in progress feedback
Doesn’t set up benchmark and ways for people to manage themselves

To: Clearly assigns responsibility for tasks and decisions
Sets clear objectives and measures
Monitors process, progress, and results
Designs feedback loops into work

II. Some Causes for My unskillfulness in Managing and Measuring Work

· Do not enjoy conflict, especially that which goes with setting tough goals for myself and others.
· Inexperience: Having never been in a management position, I do not have the experience in assigning and monitoring the work of others.
· Not managing my time efficiently makes it difficult to get everything done in one day.
