Is the Keller the most important influence in Paul's life? I would think so. Keller is more important then anyone in his life, but there are also other influences like his mother and father(Nancy and John), Rosie his girlfriend, even members in his band 'Ruff Stuff'.
But as for Keller, he had given Paul a lesson of a life time, a valuable lesson that not many people know how to teach, an influence in music that could change Paul's life forever.

Paul was first introduced to Keller when 15 years old, straight after moving from his old home town Adelaide to Darwin. He was instructed to meet Keller from his father, John ,to learn piano ,since he had heard that Keller was the best piano tutor around. Paul's father had forced the continuation of the lessons so that Paul had the best opportunitys in life, which the father never had as a child.Paul first thought of himself to have the talent of a professional musician , but was later proved wrong by Keller.
