MacBeth

The Tragedy of MacBeth is considered, as one of the best plays ever written. Like everything Shakespeare writes, this play emphasized on everyday problems in this world. Temptation and greed have been around since the beginning of time and will be a problem until the end of time.
The play starts out in a battle where MacBeth, Thane of Glamis, eventually defeats the traitorous Thane of Cawdor, only he doesn’t know it was the Thane of Cawdor, he thought he was just fighting invaders. After proving his bravery in battle, he and his best friend Banquo met three witches. The witches decided they would predict MacBeth’s future for him. In the apparitions of the witches, they saw him as Thane of Glamis, Thane of Cawdor, and a future king. MacBeth thought that was impossible. After they told him he started to fear being king. “Good sir, why do you start, and seem to fear things that do sound fair?” (I.3.52-53).
