Macbeth in the final scene is a character of unnatural ambition and betrayed the king and his country. William Shakespeare creates a view of Macbeth for the responders by using dramatic techniques. Shakespeare uses techniques such as dramatic irony, asides, soliloquies and poetry and prose to help the responders create their own view of Macbeth.

Macbeth was once a noble man and loyal to his king, this changes constantly throughout the play. Changes start appearing after Macbeth meets the infamous witches, which give Macbeth ambition. This unnatural ambition now taking over Macbeth is to kill the king and to become king himself. Macbeth at first stays loyal to his king by rejecting the idea.
“And to be king, stands not within the prospect of belief”
After Macbeth kills the king, he feels compelled to kill everyone involved which includes Banquo. This brings us to Macbeth defending his title against Macduff. Macbeth thinks about the second prophecy...
