Macbeth

The play " Macbeth" by William Shakespeare, is one of Shakespeare's great tragedies. The central theme of the play is how greed can deeply flaw and corrupt human beings. The direful character Lady Macbeth plays a major role in the plot, and she embodies how a person can be affected by greed. Her character has a bloodthirsty vision and drive for wealth and power, that she cannot help but bring about her own demise.
Lady Macbeth received a letter from her husband, which explained how these three witches gave a divination that Macbeth would be Thane of Cawdor, and soon after he would become king. She knew that Macbeth would be indecisive about the matter. In act one scene five Lady Macbeth says, " Yet do I fear the nature; It is too full o'th' milk of human kindness to catch the nearest way. Thou wouldst be great, Art not without ambition, but without the illness should attend it ". She feels that Macbeth is too kind and that he is not enough of a ma...
