Mac Beth

Sir Isaac Newton explains the third law of motion by saying, “for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.” Newton statement is very true, and seems to come to life in Macbeth, a classic tragedy by Shakespeare. Macbeth tells of a story of a good man, Macbeth, going bad. Macbeth is first portrayed as honorable general, but by the end of the play represents one that of an insane murderer. Throughout the playwright, the personality of Macbeth disintegrates, because Macbeth does not make the connection between the destruction of others lives and his own.
Macbeth, the thane of Glamis and later of Cawdor, first shows signs of personality disintegration when he plans to murder the king of Scotland. On the contrary, before the death of the king, Macbeth maintains a high integrity. This is seen when the king speak of Macbeth to be “a gentleman on whom I built / An absolute trust…” (1.4.14-15).
