We had just got in the door when the phone rang. I ran to get it but before I could get to it the ringing stopped. I walked slowly to the door observing the things on the wall. Every thing seemed so strange as if I had never lived there before. I didn’t really know why I had only been away two weeks. I grabbed my bag and went to my room to start unpacking. I couldn’t wait to phone all my friends. I can’t believe it but I was actually excited about going back to school.
About ten minutes later the phone rang again I got up from my bed only to see that mum had already answered it. I heard her saying “Gwen” that’s my aunt’s name. It seemed strange that she was phoning so soon we had only been in fifteen minutes, maybe she had missed us so much she just couldn’t wait I doubted it though because we only spoke to her about every three weeks.
