Lost Angel

Description:
The Jon Hoyt painting called "Lost Angel", is a dark, soft, mysterious image. It is an oil painting painted on a 4 ft by 4.3 ft canvase. The focal point in this print is of a nude woman with large, feathery wings. The most fascinating this about her, is the fact that the artist was able to paint her to imply a sense of spiritness, or a ghost like appearance. The image is very defined, and has an obvious body shape, yet some of the background is showing through this see-through angel. This painting technique is very difficult, yet has a stunning effect. At a first glance, the viewer is unable to determine the sex of this figure. The angel is bald, and has small breasts, and an unfeminine figure.
