Piggy


In this essay I will be doing a character analyses of the character piggy from the book "Lord Of The Flies " by William Golding.

The book is about a group of boys, who have been marooned on a desert island when their plane is shot down while they are attempting to escape Britain in a time of nuclear war. Most of the boys survive the crash but all adults are killed. The morning after the crash all of the boys gather to decide what they should do Piggy says that they should elect a leader, Ralph is chosen to the disgust of Jack who wanted to be leader. The boys start out co-operating with each other but then things start to go wrong. They set a fire on top of a hill but it gets out of control and a small child is killed in it. They decide that they must build shelters but many of the boys loose interest in this a go elsewhere, leaving Ralph and Simon to do all the work.
