Looks Do Not Really Count

Looks aren¡¯t everything, the saying goes. And I believe so: looks do
not really count. A person¡¯s working capacities can¡¯t be evaluated by
one¡¯s looking. A man with plain looking may have strong abilities, and vise versa.
In my view, ¡°looks do not really count¡± is not equal to ¡°looks are penniless¡±. If looks were penniless, there would be no beauty-selections, no surgical operations, no make-ups, and so on.
