Looking For Alibrandi


Looking for Alibrandi is a book about a seventeen-year-old ethnic girl, who lives with her mum. They live in outer Sydney. Josie goes to a school where she fells like she is the odd one out, being ethnic, plus all the other students come from wealthy backgrounds. She only goes to the school because she got a scholarship. Josie has many different problems but believes that she is the only one with problems.

Josie has many problems in the novel but believes no one else could have any of there own problems. When John Barton died she didn’t mourn or cry for him, she was angry that he threw away everything he had going for him, like a good future and a father with lots of money. She was self-centered by the way she simplified Jacobs’s life by saying he doesn’t have to live by any rules.
