Long distance relationships

It’s Friday night and you look at your phone. This little gadget has become the significant other in your world, the lifeline to your sweetheart. You could call it phone-dating, or in other words, the long distance relationship. I know from personal experience that if you love someone enough and put plenty of time, effort, and trust into your relationship, you can make it work no matter what the odds. Despite all the work involved in long distance relationships, the benefits make it worthwhile for those who attempt to make it work.
The thought of leaving for school terrified me. I was afraid of being alone and of not knowing a single person or where anything was. Even worse, I would be leaving someone behind with whom I had been involved with for more than a year.
