I have never gotten nightmares from a book before, but Lightning by Dean Koontz gave me nightmares like you wouldn’t imagine. The main characters of the story are Laura, Chris, and a tall blonde-haired mysterious man. “A storm struck on the night of Laura Shane was born, and there would be a strangeness of the storm that people would remember for years.” During the storm a man appears during a lightning bolt dashes across the sky.
