Life with meaning

After I read the essay of ¡§Why I Went to the Woods¡¨ wrote by Henry David Thoreau, I felt so admired to him. Thoreau seemed want to strip life to its core, away from the lies and gossip of society. He enjoyed life in nature, and he seemed that he was richer than anyone he knew, having everything he materially needed even though he didn¡¦t have much, and the time to enjoy it. In his essay, he taught us life with meaning was very important, since we need to know where we go and why we go, and he told us not to live with meaningless purpose. The most of the people had to constantly labor to afford all their things, meanwhile neglecting nature¡¦s beauty and the gentle work of the soul. Thoreau led me to realize that wealth was not the most important thing to gain for our life, and he had written three sentences which very impressed me.
