There is not only one lesson to be taught in the novel, “Tuck Everlasting” by Natalie Babbit, but many. This is a truly genuine story revolving around adolescence and life. When literature such as this book, pose so many questions in the readers mind, it is not only just a story but a stepping stone. It is a stepping stone in someone’s life to broaden their sense of self-worth and value life itself. This novel can open many people’s eyes to the true meaning of life and the life-cycle which undoubtedly exists, yet many people are ignorant of it.
The “coming of age” theme is portrayed in many novels, movies and other forms of media today. This type of genre is a very important aspect of literature.
