Legalization of Marijuana


For decades, American has been waging a “war on drugs.” A drug that has played a key part in all of this and has been highly controversial is Cannibus Sativa, or Marijuana. It has been highly debatable how harmful this drug actually is, especially in comparison to alcohol, which is seemingly more dangerous. Statistics show that alcohol abuse leads to violence more so than Marijuana. Alcohol abuse can lead to serious addiction; alcoholism is even classified as a disease. Tobacco can also lead to addiction. No strong physiological addiction has been shown for marijuana, yet alcohol and tobacco are both legal. So then, logically, why is marijuana illegal?
