Leadership

Martin Luther King was a leader and spokesman for the right of African Americans during 1950’s. He explained the three ways that people deal with their oppression. One of the is acquiescence where people adjust themselves to oppression, and become conditioned to it. The second way is the resort to physical violence and corroding hatred. Violence brings momentary revolts, but never permanent peace. The third way was to quest for freedom. The way of nonviolent resistance.
