Killer angels by Micheal SHaara

The book, The Killer Angels, goes through the perspectives of the different generals to explain the situation of the Civil War, and ultimately sets place during the Battle of Gettysburg. The thing that separates this novel from all the other books is that it is written in the perspectives of both the north and the south.
I believe that the author wrote this book to revolutionize book writing of the Civil War. Most other books are based on the perspectives of either the North or South, which makes the book have a bias plot and story.
