There is one, two, and three star centers. There is an abundance of working mothers now, and there are government programs to help parents pay the cost of childcare. “The answer is not ending welfare, but providing supplemental programs that can realistically assist a single mother.”(Sabatke 498). Some work places may even have a center at job site or near by. Daycare centers are inspected monthly to ensure the well being of the children. Compared to some other centers, Kids First may be a great choice. Kids may not always come home clean and tidy, but learning new curriculum and songs every day is a must. Kids do not come hungry. Meals and snacks are fed on time. First one needs to look at the credentials of the staff and ratings by DHS. This is a two and a half-star center.
