Kashmir gained its independence from Britain in 1947. Yet, do you think that their independence led to real freedom? No. After gaining its independence, Kashmir enters another bondage. India and Pakistan both claim the land to be fully theirs and Kashmir wanted to be its own state. To try to resolve this problem, Both Pakistan and India went to the United Nations for help.
