Topic: Juveniles being treated as adults by the criminal
justice system.

General Purpose: Position Speech

Specific Purpose: As a result of my speech the audience will be able to identify the reasons that juveniles should not be treated as adults in the court system.

Thesis: Children do not have the capabilities of proper decision making to be tried and convicted as adults and serve time in adult prisons.
