Just Wars

It is easy to see that the Vietnam War was an unjust and that the Persian Gulf War was a just war. The Vietnam War was a military struggle that was fought from 1959 to 1975 in Vietnam. The country was split into two because of the First Indochina War. The Persian Gulf War began in August 1990. Fighting began in January 1991 between Iraq and a coalition of forces led by the United States (Encarta, 1 and 12). In the Bible, Joel 3:9-10 says, “Prepare a war; let the soldiers draw near. Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears…”. The Vietnam War was an unnecessary war in which many people lost their lives; the Persian Gulf War on the other hand, was justified in its actions.
The Vietnam War was caused because of the Second Indochina War. The Second Indochina War was from 1954 to 1975. The war started because of the long conflict between France and Vietnam (Encarta, 1). France fought hard to get Vietnam, but France had a very poorly organized...
