Judaism and Christianity

The basic Christian concepts that are directly derived from Judaism are, both religions follow the Old Testament, both believe in one god, both believe that he created the earth in six days, and both believe that god created Adam and Eve from Adam’s rib. The major difference between Judaism and Christianity is that Christians believe that God had a son named Jesus. The Jews also hold the Pentateuch very sacred and the Christians hold the gospels sacred both for their own reasons.
Some core beliefs of Christianity that distinguish it from Judaism are the fact that Christians believe in Jesus, Christians celebrate his birthday, and follow the New Testament. The Jewish people didn’t like the idea that Jesus was spreading the word of God as if he was his son. Before Jesus’ crucifixion he had the last supper with his disciples and told them that the bread they were eating was to be his body and the wine that they had drunk was to be his blood...
