Jim a child but only ten years old goes on an adventure that would rival the likes of any major Hollywood movie today. Jim lives in who lives in Aliceville North Carolina. Through his adventures he learns life’s most important and even no so important lessons. Jim learns these lessons by the family he holds most dear to him. Throughout the book, Jim learns life’s most important lessons from his three uncles, Uncle Coran, Uncle Al, and Uncle Zeno. The first and one could consider the least influential uncle in Jims life is Uncle Coran. Uncle Coran was a large tall man. He spent his life like many others in the south farming the plantation for a living. He comes from a strict but fair upbringing that can be seen being instilled in Jim.
