Jane Eyre

In the book Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, the main character Jane goes through many difficult times. Treated differently at different homes, Jane learns what if feels like to be respected with friends as well as being treated like “trash.” To most people Gateshead sounds like a palace that anyone would be crazy not to want to live in and Lowood: a nightmare. However, Jane thought differently.

In Gateshead, Jane was disrespected. When her uncle was on his death bed, he made his sister promise to take care of Jane. However, Jane’s aunt didn’t like Jane.
