Jane Eyre

In the book Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Bronte, Jane is meant to be portrayed as a contradiction to the “ideal woman” of Victorian Literature. The ways in which she rejects the lifestyle of the “ideal woman” is that she is not an angel, she has lots of passion, and she does not know her place.
