Jackie Roosevelt Robinson: An American Hero

The essay I will be writing about today is about Jackie Roosevelt Robinson,
and how he had courage to do what he did. I choose him because he had alot of
strength to go through what he went through. In the following I will tell you about his
childhood and about his baseball career.
Jackie Robinson grew up in Cairo, Georgia. He grew up with a family of
sharecroppers. Jackie Roosevelt Robinson attended Pasadena Junior College
(which is now called Pasadena City College) in California. He also attended
University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA). In 1941 Jackie Roosevelt Robinson
left college to join the United States Army. After graduating from Officers Candidate
School. He became Second Lieutenant in what was then a segregated army.
Jackie Roosevelt Robinson's baseball career was one of the most hard
fought battles with racism that I have heard of. His profession started in 1945 with
