It is more important to allocate money for immediate, existing social problems than on long-term research that might help future generations.

The statement above has always intrigued most visionaries who believe that the quality of life depends on the best that we do today. The two issues concerning investment in immediate social problems and in the investment in long-term research are both essential in order to have a healthy and peaceful life. The government needs to prioritize and make choices that are best for its people.

Admittedly, some of the vital problems like poverty, education and unemployment need immediate attention. But the key to these problems is basic education, which many nations even today cannot provide to all. It is very important to bring in awareness among common men who do not understand the value of education. In some countries, more than one-third of its population is illiterate and below the poverty line. Providing money is not the only solution for this problem.
