It Happened to Nancy is a story that is based on the diary entries of a real fourteen- year old girl who was living in South Carolina. Her name was Nancy, she is “a good little Catholic girl” living the normal life of a young teenager. Her parents had divorced a few years back, but they both loved her very much, she had loyal friends and a very bright future. She was enjoying life and having tons of fun until she meets a guy by the name of Collin. They met at a western concert one night, and he presents himself as a lonely, orphaned college freshman. Nancy was very naïve, and was swept off her feet by him, he seemed to be a very sweet, gentle young man, who was the answer to her every dream. They develop a relationship where she feels that she has fallen in love. But the thing is everything that Collin had told Nancy was a complete lie. He was not a college freshman like he had said.
