Is There a Universal Standard of Beauty?

Beauty is very hard to define. The perception of beauty changes with time. Beauty in the Victorian age was big hips and butts. There was a desire to be fair-skinned. Although the perception of beauty changes with time, there seems to be a universal standard of beauty. The world seems to desire certain traits in both men and women. The influence of Hollywood has also made people in the world dislike their bodies. Diseases such as Anorexia and Bulimia is also rampant in the world.
The world seems to desire certain traits in both men and women. The most attractive male has a strong chin, dominant brow, and features of strength and dominance. The most attractive female seems to have high cheekbones, full lips, delicate smiles, and large eyes. People tend to desire a mate with a symmetrical face. The most beautiful face is the most “average” face. The western standard of beauty is desired in the world. According to this standard of beauty, girls have to be tall and thin....
