Is Sense Experience a reliable source of Knowledge?
Sense experince is NOT a reliable source of knowledge. I do not agree with Aristotle or St. Thomas that our minds are blank tablets at birth, nor do I think that sense experience alone is the basis of human knowledge. I believe they both combine to form our own experiences and thoughts. Plato explains it fairly simply by saying, "When is it that the soul attains to truth? When it tries to investigate anything with the help of the body, it is obviously led astray."
