Introduction
Nation states are loosing their power as the world borders become diminished between countries and states. People are more aware now of the world’s issues due to the media, technology and people power. They are moving away from governments that they once trusted; turning their attention towards non-government organisations that focus on brings people together for a cause.
Non government organisations otherwise known as NGO’s are groups of people who feel strongly about an issue and want to make a difference. Gaining political interest and power outside governments. Spreading the information and power they have acquired around the globe. They use the media as their vehicle to inform the public on issues that affect us directly and indirectly. Ranges of issues they are passionate about include human rights and the environment.
