Is Christmas more important than Easter?

For many Christians, Christmas is the most holy time of the whole Christian year. At Christmas they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ; the Son of God. This means that it is therefore celebrating the birth of what is widely recognised as the basis of their whole faith and system of beliefs. In comparison to Easter, Christmas is recognised throughout the world and is in fact far more widely celebrated.
