Is ban on smoking in public places take away some of our freedom?

Anti-smoking campaignes have become more popular recently as a result of growing public awareness of hazardous effects of tobacco smoking. However, since the regulations concerning smoking are stricker in public places and in some of them smoking is even banned, it is one of the most charged topics in the society whether it deprive the smokers of their right of choice and freedom. As for me,
I don't consider the idea of prohibition smoking cigarettes in public places as a matter that influence somehow the freedom of smokers.
