When I hear the word abortion my entire being cringes. You may be wondering how a word alone could evoke such a strong reaction from a person, but my reaction comes from my instincts, which tell me how wrong abortion is. I was raised to believe that abortion is murder and that murder is wrong. Now that I am an adult I maintain the view that abortion is wrong, and I am left wondering how our society can accept the thought of abortion. Not only does our society accept abortion, it also promotes the idea, leading some young women to believe that this is the right thing to do. I could never agree with the idea that abortion is right, or an even an option, not while there is the option of adoption, or the extremely novel idea of taking responsibilities for your own actions and rearing your child yourself. I understand some may not be able to rear their children because of where they are in their life, but murder should not be the answer.
