Interracial Children....One of God's little blessings.

I remember the first time I ever felt different from any of the other children I knew. I was with my mom at at a store and an older looking woman came up to me and smiled, then she looked at my mother and said "What a beautiful little girl, is she yours?" my mom just smiled and said "Yes she is". While we were walking through that store I started to notice that all the children my color had parents that were that same color as them. My mom had "White" skin and I had "Black" skin. Right then I felt totally different and I really didn't like it. I chose to write about the effects society has on multi-ethnic children because I myself am a multi-ethnic child. Everyday thousands of children are born into inter-racial couples. Everyday multi-raced children wish they were one specific race. I suppose it's easier for children from two or more ethnical backgrounds to realize that almost every person in America comes from more that one ethnical background.
