Internet Policy

Harford County Library mission is to provide responsive resources to the the community through equal access to library resources that enrich the quality of life and support and encourage life-long learning. As part of this mission, the library offers internet access to individuals of all ages. In addition, the library organizes, catalogs and indexes a wide variety of sources.
The library affirms the rights of its patrons to access constitutionally protected materials. However, the library reserves the right to revoke internet access from any person for not following the internet usage rules.
In order to impliment that law, the following actions are prohibited:
-Sending, recieving, or displaying inappropriate materials to a minor.

-Sending, recieving, or displaying inappropriate materials which may be construed as child pornography as specified in Article 27, Sectionas 419 and 419A of the Maryland Annoted Code.
