International business in Indonesia

Indonesia is rapidly developing its economy, partly by increasing foreign investment and foreign business contacts. Unique cultural traditions, social behaviors, economical, legal and political differences influence how International business can be conducted. Take into consideration all the differences when doing international business if you want to become a prosperous business. Apparently, minor errors - passing a plate of food with the left hand, considered unclean by Moslems, for example can have dire consequences.
Anything the International country views as a religious belief or custom, lifestyle, and certain types of food that may be served on a specific day are viewed as Cultural differences. For example in Indonesia when planning business appointments and business entertainment, be aware of religious requirements, such as visiting a mosque on Friday for noon prayers and fasting during the month of Ramadan.
