Interesting parallel between Ben Franklin and today's society

“In truth, he was an odd fish, ignorant of common life, fond of rudely opposing recieved opinions...enthusiastic in some points of religion, and a little knavish” (42).

Ben Franklin’s account of his employer Keimer’s awkward social interactions, and thus lack there of, reveals to the reader the importance of social uprightness in colonial America, and can interestingly be paralleled to present-day America.
