Insulation

I am trying to find out how the effectiveness of two different materials that “Instafibre” use for wall insulation.

The apparatus I will be using are: 3 150ml beakers, 3 250ml beakers, 3 1000ml beakers, cotton wool, polystyrene, hot water and 3 thermometers. I will use these apparatus so we can test the cotton wool and polystyrene to see if they are good insulators.

I will set up the apparatus with the 150ml beaker inside the 250ml beaker inside the 1000ml beaker. The hot water will be inside the 150ml beaker at 150ml and a thermometer. The cotton wool, the polystyrene or air will be in-between the 150ml and 250ml. the 1000ml beaker will have cold water a...
