For people who suffer from this disorder the definition is vague at best. 10 Million Americans consult a physician every year for sleep disorders. Another 50 million suffer in silence. Sometimes, people who have no trouble sleeping, don’t understand the problem. Many health problems cause insomnia, and likewise insomnia can cause many health problems. Insomniacs have symptoms from the disorder that can be confusing or frustrating to someone close to them. Insomnia is not just a “nighttime problem,” it can affect many aspects of a persons life.
