In 1933 Hitler became Chancellor owing to a combination of internal and external factors. Internal factors included Nazi propaganda, Hitler’s role, Nazi organization, SA violence, the Munich Putsch and the Nazi ideology. External elements were the Wall Street crash, hyperinflation, SPD and other party naivety, Von Papen and Hindenburg chancellor role fiasco, the weakness of and hatred towards the Weimar republic, and the fear of communism and mass unemployment.
The National Socialist German Workers’ Party (Nazi) party was founded by Anton Dexler in January 1919. Hitler, who joined the party in 1919, rapidly worked his way to the leader of the party despite a minority who tried to oppose him.
