Importance of Education

A degree in the workplace is becoming an obvious necessity, and something I find necessary for my own life. As the years, progress the abundance of available jobs has continued to decrease, causing employers to demand a higher set of expectations from perspective applicants. More often than not, the qualifications now ask that an individual possess a college degree relevant to that specific area of employment. Furthermore, current employees with years of on the job experience are being passed by for promotions given instead to college graduates who meet the educational qualifications of the specific job title. Additionally, given the choice between two applicants one with an education, one without an overwhelming amount of employers view the educated individual as the most qualified. I myself have had the experience of being under qualified for a position.
