Immigrants

Italian immigrants were very prominent during the time when immigration was a big part of the United States. Overall, about four million Italians migrated to America during this time that lasted from about 1880 to the late 1920's. Italians migrated to America for many reasons such as poverty, disease, overpopulation, land that could not be cultivated for farming, natural disasters, government problems etc.
