Earlier this month Governor Gray Davis passed a bill that will allow illegal immigrants to obtain driver licenses with only Taxpayers Identification Number. There has been a lot of controversy about this issue. I think this should be fair for immigrants that are currently living in California because they pay taxes like California residents, they work at lower job class field, and they volunteer to help out the community.
Immigrants volunteer so much in California today, that they are not getting the respect that they reserve. They do volunteer jobs like working at senior citizen apartments. They help clean the apartments and help senior citizen with their daily medications. They go and work eight to twelve hour shifts for free to prove their worthy of being residents. With all their volunteering it helps California of being a better state which is good for permanent residents. What I’m trying to say is we get profit off them them, so the least we can do is ...
