National Identity Cards: Good or Evil?

“All things must change to something new, something strange.” – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
This quote directly represents what National Identity Cards would act as, namely a revolutionary idea. Some people believe that National Identity Cards would not be very effective though, as a matter of fact, they believe that a National Identity Card would be a major insertion into people’s lives by the government. This statement is made because by having identity cards, it allows the government to know where people are at all times. However, this is not a detrimental case for the reason that the United States Government can already track people down without using a National Identity Card. Like in the Monica Lewinski/Clinton Affair trials, Kenneth Starr showed up to court with information on what book store Lewinski had been to, how much money she had spent there, what she had purchased, and what dress she was wearing at the time.
