Chuck, Matt, and I held 2 additional referee training sessions to build on the refs knowledge. One session focused on U6 only and one on U8 only. This was step 2 in the referee development process and focused on the practical application of the ref's position on the field, making the calls, blowing the whistle loud & long, The purpose of the "application" training is to build consistency and confidence in what the refs are doing. We want to move away from the ref who stands, is not engaged with the game, and unsure of making a call.
